Coventry tea party a first

The first Permission to Smile tea party outside Birmingham has been held in the Hillfields area of Coventry, as part of the Government’s violence reduction initiative for a number of specific areas of need. 20 Permission to Smile banners have filled the area and the tea party to bring residents together is the first of three, seeking to boost friendliness and community spirit. Hillfields Evangelical Baptist Church has very kindly made its Waterloo Street site, right in the centre of Hillfields, available for the tea parties and a number of other local organisations are actively supporting the project.
